Coming home

A view down the River Kent passing through Kendal

Some things just feel right.

Back in 2009, iTek started with a clear goal. Help businesses with their IT, keep things simple, and build relationships that actually mean something.

Over the years, the business grew, the team grew, and the client base grew with it. In 2019, iTek became part of a larger group. The name stayed, the work continued, but it wasn’t quite the same.

Now, in 2026, iTek is back where it started.

Back under the ownership of founder Ben Mitchinson.

Back to being a local business, run by people who live here, work here, and care about doing a proper job for the businesses around them.

This isn’t about tearing things up and starting again. The same team is here. The same clients. The same day-to-day support that keeps businesses running.

What’s changed is the direction.

  • A sharper focus on relationships.
  • A stronger connection to the local community.
  • And a renewed commitment to doing things the right way, not the easy way.

From supporting local companies and charities to sponsoring grassroots football at Wattsfield, iTek has always been part of the community. That doesn’t change. If anything, it becomes even more important.

Coming home isn’t about going backwards.

It’s about knowing who you are, and getting back to it.
